I am a lover of kitchen gadgets. One of my happiest days was when I got a nice deal on my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I had been drooling over it for a few years and finally felt the price was right. I have been happily baking bread and trying out all kinds of recipes. I was able to choose an attachment pack as part of the sale and selected this lovely little set for making pasta. So far, I've only made macaroni, but shall soon be embarking on a fettuccine experience with fresh noodles. At least, I will once I rig up a way to dry the noodles in lieu of a fancy pasta drying rack.


Now I have my heart set and will likely purchase soon this little lovely below. This is a sausage stuffer. I was watching Top Chef the other day - one of many cooking shows that I love and one of the contestants was making their own sausage. I thought... huh.. I could do that and the dream for a new gadget was born. Luckily this little beauty is super cheap over on Amazon.

I am so happy with mine! Now, I just drool over all the attachments that I don't have yet!

I also really, really want the flat pasta roller attachment... oh swoon!

The biggest problem I have with it is no real counterspace here, so I have to drag it out of the pantry and I'm convinced I'm going to drop it and break my foot one of these days!

It's definitely worth the $$$..

Today, a completely random thought post. Including a completely random photo that has nothing to do with what I am saying. I just like to have pictures in my posts, I think it makes them pretty...=) The wind has finally died down and I am really looking forward to a walk tonight after my second to last ever math class! Have I mentioned that I am excited to be done with the class!?! No, well I am! The professor is one of those people who thinks he is funny, but really is not. He is also one of those people who thinks jokes make the class more fun, but has not the timing for such a thing. As a result, the class is primarily uncomfortable and full of awkward silences. Zeitgeist and the month of December…

makes I am planning to blog through the month of December, you know one of those blog everyday kind of clubs.  I like the idea of them a lot – though I’m not promising anything spectacular, because I tend to get sidetracked a lot, but I am planning to blog at least a little. I wasn’t even going to bother attempting another one of these things – the dismal failures and the guilt, the added stress from the guilt, who needs it really!?! I suppose if I actually made it all the way through I’d feel pretty awesome but it’s all good. Actually, what most excited me about this blog all the month thing was the theme – Zeitgeist – isn’t that just one of the coolest words ever? It just sounds cool.  I am thinking of adopting it as my theme for 2011 – I’m not joking, I like it that much.
